It was called Untitled. Probably because giving it a name would take away its essential essence. Wednesday evening saw theatre person Lushin Dubey enthralling the audience at Hotel Taj Mahal's Haveli with a riveting solo performance directed by Arvind Gaur. Based on both Dario Fo's Medea and a story by Vijayadan Detha the performance had Lushin at her bril-liant best as she played 18 characters, with utmost ease. Exploring the subject of child abuse, incest and the subjugation of women, the performance brought out the atrocities meted out to the female population of our society. Accolades and cheers greeted Lushin as she stepped off stage and moved into the party that followed. Mediaperson Nalini Singh, who had to leave minutes before the performance ended, sent Lushin an SMS saying she was `overwhelmed' by her performance. Also present were heart surgeon Alok Chopra, Atul Punj, Bindu Vadhera, Deutsche Bank's Surinder Mehra, HSBC's Sonjoy Dutta and Star TV's Sunil Hingorani.
